About the Course

Light sheet microscopy has emerged as an essential fluorescence microscopy tool for fast, non-damaging multidimensional data acquisition in live and fixed samples. The broad range of sample types that can be imaged, along with the large volume of data generated, presents a clear challenge in image processing and quantitative data extraction. The goal of this in-person workshop is to provide the necessary tools for working with multidimensional images obtained through light sheet microscopy.

Target Audience

This workshop is aimed at students at all levels, academics, principal investigators, lab leaders in biological sciences or related fields, microscopists, and core facility staff who wish to receive training in light sheet microscopy and multidimensional image analysis.

Registration & Workshop Fee

You can register until July 25, 2025, by clicking here.
This workshop is completely free and includes transportation, lunch, and coffee service, funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

Support for Attending this Workshop

At this time, we are not directly offering lodging or travel grants to attend this event. However, you may apply for the following funding opportunities:

  • Latin America Bioimaging: SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LATIN AMERICAN STUDENTS (Registration until July 7) Will be awarded through the LABI network. The number of scholarships will be subject to the network’s budget. For registration and scholarship information, visit https://labi.lat/activities/ or contact: latambioimaging@gmail.com

  • JCS-FocalPlane Training Grants: Three application deadlines for events within 6 months of grant approval. Apply here.

  • Imaging for All (i4A): Check the guidelines and apply for microscopy workshop grants under this Global Imaging program.

Workshop Location

This workshop will take place at the Center for Integrative Biology, Universidad Mayor, Huechuraba Campus, Santiago, Chile.
